{3ds Max} I modeled the bulk of the angel. Geometry for the hair was not added until later.

{3ds Max - Mudbox} I sculpted the toga using the freeze, sculpt and smooth tools.

{3ds Max - Mudbox} I added the brooch detail to the toga and accented the collarbone and throat.

{3ds Max - Mudbox} The model's face was ripped away and I started adding details to the skull.

{3ds Max - Mudbox} I finished the detailing on the skull and sculpted out the tongue.

{3ds Max - Mudbox} I modeled the hair in 3ds Max then imported it into Mudbox. At this point I had scraped out the details of the wings and began painting textures on it with the projection tool. I wanted the wing to look like an actual sculpted wing.

{3ds Max - Mudbox} I started painting on a simple hair texture with the projection tool and painted on basic colors for the toga and the skin.

{3ds Max - Mudbox} I added the detail to the edges of her face where it meets the exposed skull and lightened the skin tone.

{3ds Max - Mudbox} I added a light skin texture, painted the brooch and finished the detailing on the bone wing.
